Everything you need to know about creating events, selling tickets, and growing with Plentix.
How do I create my first event?
Click "Create an Event" anywhere on the site, pick free or paid, and you'll have a live event page in under five minutes - no setup fees, no approval queue.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Free events stay free forever. You only add payment details when you're ready to sell paid tickets.
Can I customize my event page?
Yes - your own banner, description, ticket tiers, and branding. You can even embed the ticket widget on your own website instead of sending people away from it.
What payment methods can I accept?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and crypto across 200+ currencies - all built in, no third-party processor to configure.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Plentix charges a flat 5% on paid tickets, all payment processing included. Free events are always free.
How many ticket types can I create?
Unlimited - Early Bird, VIP, group passes, free add-ons, whatever your event needs. No upgrades or higher plan required.
How do affiliate links and discount codes work?
Give promoters a unique link with a custom commission, and track every sale back to them automatically. Discount codes support single-use, multi-use, and expiry rules.
Can I send email blasts to my attendees?
Yes - straight from your dashboard, no separate email tool required.
Can I capture interest before tickets go live?
Yes, with built-in waitlists and RSVPs - capture demand early and notify everyone the moment tickets open.
Does check-in work without internet?
Yes. The app caches your guest list locally, so scanning keeps working even if the venue's signal drops.
How many staff scanners can I add?
As many as you need, for free. There's no per-scanner fee or seat limit.
Can I see live attendance during the event?
Yes - live attendance count and capacity alerts update in real time as guests scan in.
Is there a monthly subscription?
No monthly plans, ever. You only pay the 5% fee when a paid ticket sells.
What happens if I need to refund a ticket?
Refunds are handled directly from your dashboard, and Plentix's fee on that ticket is returned along with the ticket price.
Is the 5% fee really all-inclusive?
Yes - payment processing, check-in, marketing tools, and analytics are all included. One number, no asterisks.
