Did you know that the fashion industry has a disastrous impact on the environment? In fact, it is the second largest polluter in the word, just after the oil industry. And the environmental damage is increasing as the industry grows.
But there is always a solution! Boryana Uzunova – Co-founder of Impakt_ID and Kool and Konscious - works between the fields of ecology and technology to mitigate this negative impact through facilitating its transition towards a more transparent and accountable model.
After studying in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and working on a technology aiming to mitigate the impact from mass fashion production through enabling brands to produce on-demand perfect-fit appeal, Boryana teams up with visionary engineers working in the field.
She launches a 360 platform for sustainable and ethical fashion – Kool and Konscious, and another company that specializes in the assessment and mitigation of the environmental footprint on product level – Imakt_ID.
