Join us on July 9 at 18:00 EET (17:00 CET) for the second part of our special blockchain webinar SHEleader Mind the Gap. It is the fifth BCWT online dialogue, which creates a bridge to the international conference SHEleader@digital 2020, postponed for September 17 due to measures to limit the COVID-19 outbreak.

After the inspiring first part of SHEleader Mind the Gap, it is time for the second dip into the blockchain world. We will talk about the implementation of this emerging technology in various industries and will show you several use cases. Along with examples from the practice, we will analyze the role of women and female leadership in the decentralized world of crypto technology.

Our guest is Stefka Stoyanova, Head of Operations and Marketing at AE Ventures - a project that provides initial funding, acceleration, and advisory support to blockchain projects.

Host: Anastasia Angelova - Institutional Relations Director at Nexo, a crypto lending platform.
Register for the event in the link above and take your free ticket for the webinar.

Blockchain

Blockchain is the code that underpins the cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH). It is a distributed ledger technology (DLT) that tracks every action. Along with the public blockchains (e.g. BTC or ETH) which data are open and visible for everyone, there are private types of blockchains (e.g. IBM Blockchain or Hyperledger).

The cryptocurrency technology has broadened its scope far beyond the digital coins themselves due to its capabilities to speed up transactions, to lower the cost via elimination of the role of third parties, and to bring transparency and confidence. Blockchain has been implemented in various industries such as finance, logistic, entertainment, or health. However, there are hot topics related to this type of DLT including the issue of scalability: the capability of blockchain to manage a big amount of transactions simultaneously.

If you want to learn more about the practical implementations of blockchain and how to use women’s professionalism, knowledge, skills, and powers in the decentralized blockchain world, join us on June 9 at 18:00 EET (17:00 CET). Be part of the fifth special SHEleader webinar.
