Innovation has always been the natural reaction to problems. Yet innovation today still suffers from three main blind spots – how, where and why new ideas are funded (as noted in Ross Baird's The Innovation Blind Spot).
1% of all venture funding goes to businesses founded by all-female teams. 'Warm intros' reportedly make 82% of funded IC decisions. How can access to funding be improved?
As our world is reemerging from Coronavirus, we are given an opportunity to build a more equitable, inclusive world.
Diverse companies are 43% more likely to see above-average profits, showing a significant correlation between diversity and performance.
What can be done to address the systemic issue of team homogeneity and lack of diversity in venture capital and STEM industries?
Hear from:
Bosch, one of world's largest engineering and electronics companies.
Talis Capital, a unique Venture Capital investment firm funded by a group of ultra successful and strategic high net worth entrepreneurs (Deploying more than $100m per year in Data/IoT, Cyber Security, Fintech & Insurance, RegTech, Digital Health, Direct to Consumer, Proptech, Food & AgTech).
Amplo, the global venture capital firm building companies that matter (early investor in Robinhood).
Playfair Capital, an active London-based seed stage investor(backed 60+ teams in 11 countries) that is hosting a nationwide Female Founder Office Hours with 30 leading UK VCs and 100 female founders in June.
