Join us on October 21 at 6 PM EET (5 PM CET) for an inspirational dialogue between Sasha Lipman, Co-Founder of the global startup network tech2impact, and Sasha Bezuhanova, Founder of BCWT.

The pandemic has acted as a catalyst for several long-awaited changes in society and in the business world, including proving to us that technology and digital transformation are indispensable. The pandemic has also shown us the significance of impact tech startups as tools for finding new solutions and how important it is to support their development and scaling.

On October 21, the new season of SHEleader in a SHEll starts with Sasha Lipman, co-founder of the global startup network tech2impact, which helps impact tech projects with mentorship and various initiatives for business development. Tech2impact unites more than 500 founders, mentors, accelerators, and investors.

“There’s a misconception in the tech ecosystem about “impact”. So let’s clear up outdated prejudices about what it means to be an impact tech startup from the get-go. Startups and businesses can (and should) do both: address societal issues and generate profit and scale,” says Sasha Lipman.

On October 21, we will talk with Sasha about the startup ecosystem, the challenges #impacttech startups face, and the tech2impact activities. Moreover, we will address several other important topics:

How has technology climbed up the ladder to position itself as one of the world’s most vital resources without which we cannot live efficiently? Has COVID-19 been the trigger?
Can the pandemic be an opportunity to change some societal and business stereotypes, including about women and their roles in the ICT?
Has COVID-19 transformed the digital industry and our thinking of it?

Moderator of the discussion: Sasha Bezuhanova, Founder and Chair of BCWT.

The founders and the members of the Center believe that the more women in Bulgaria and in the world become part of the development of the digital industry, the more successful and diverse our products and companies will be in the future.
